We had a revision session last sunday. We revised all the syllabus for the midterm exam comimg up next sunday. ie., 11th december. The topics for the midterm are: numbers in telugu 1-50, masamula perlu, achulu, hallulu, sweeya parichayamu, fruits and veggie names  in telugu, yeppati keyyadi prasthutha, sumathi padyam, tappulennu varu tandopa tandambu, a Vemana padyam.

Please revise padyalu and make kids practice telugu alphabets well.

Dear Parents

Here is an update about our upcoming classes.We have a session with Chinna jeeyar Swamiji on 27th November at Ashtalakshmi Temple. So no Telugu class on 27th. November. Also, kids have a midterm exam on 11 December. The syllabus will be sent shortly. Please work with kids for the midterm.

In the last Sunday class, kids have learnt about the story from Ramayan, where Hanuman saves Lakshmana by bringing Sanjeevini. They have also learnt telugu words associated with the story. Please listen to the story in your kids' own words. We will review the story again in the next class.

Also, kids had a fun role play session. Many kids participated enthusiastically, speaking in telugu, in this play. The role play is about 'parents getting kids ready for school' an everyday scenario in our life.

Kids revised varamulu and masamulu also.

We also revised 'tappulennuvaru', Yeppatikeyyadi' vemana and sumathi padyamulu. with meaning.

Homework; write two words using parichaya for each one of achulu and hallulu.
I've been seeing lower number of homework turn ins. Please encourage kids to finish work.

Dear Parents
Last weekend we reviewed the story 'Poyina Vasthuvu', a Maryada Ramanna story.

We have learnt new telugu padyamulu 'Tappu lennnu varu Tandopatandambu', a vemana padyam,
'Yeppatikeyyadi Prastutha', a Sumathi sathaka padyam.

We also reviewed 'Chaduvadi entha kalgina', from Bhaskara Satakam.

Please make your kids practice the above padyamulu.

Kids also counted numbers upto 50, reviewed telugu months and days.

We donot have a class on 30th october, on Deepavali Sunday.

Homework:

Practice writing 3-5 simple words for all achulu and hallulu, As the coming weekend is a holiday make sure kids do all work.

Practice padyalu with kids.

Note: Please send a notebook and a pencil with your kids.

Last Sunday kids had an interesting story time of 'Maryada Ramanna'. Kids have learnt many Telugu words and sentences. Parents, try to listen the story in their own words, it will encourage them make own sentences in Telugu and helps them speak Telugu comfortably.

We have also practiced a poem from 'Bhaskara Satakam', "chaduvadhi entha kalgina' and reviewed the poem summary. Please make them recite the poem. You can find the poem on Youtube link mentioned below-

Kids practiced achulu, hallulu. Last week home work was not done by many, so I  gave the same homework and wrote it in their notebooks. Please make them practice hallulu.

Important Note: Please remind your kids to bring a notebook and a pencil to telugu class.

Dear Parents,

This weekend Katy Prathama students covered several interesting topics. Class began with students participating in a coversation around dining table on a festival day playing different roles in family.
Kids had a fun time conversing in the shoes of their parents, grand parents and themselves.

We also covered writing achulu, vemana padyam 'balavantuda nakemani' with meaning.
Telugu masamulu, Telugu varamulu,Ankelu from 50-100 were revised.

Homework: Kids are supposed to write about 5 vegetable and 5 fruits with parents help.
Also, write 'ka varga' to 'pa varga' hallulu and bring to the next class.
